Problem – This Financial Planner developed a system to communicate a financial plan for their clients using spreadsheets and word documents. They wanted to offer this system to other financial planners and realized the continued use of spreadsheets and word documents would not work because it required a manual copy/paste process and they struggled to keep control of the latest version of the documents.

Solution – A web application was created which incorporated all of the inputs, planning tools, calculations, and outputs originally contained in the spreadsheets and word documents. The application added the ability to manage different financial planning agencies, manage financial advisors within the agencies, and manage the different clients for each financial advisor.  The output was improved to make it easier for clients to understand the plans the advisors created for them. Since it is built within a web application all of the information is stored at a safe central location and the advisors are always using the latest version of the software.
