The Problem – The customer provides mobile shelters placed in remote areas to provide a safe place for workers during dangerous storms or lightning.

Our Solution – A web application, which obtains the GPS location of the shelter and queries multiple services to determine if there is bad weather within a predetermined radius of the shelter. If it is determined there is bad weather approaching, the system generates a Google map and warning message. Then, through an SMS text message or email, the system notifies the workers of the approaching weather in ample time for them to enter the safety of the shelter. Workers receive an automated “all clear” message when the bad weather has passed by.
